Lifting Treadmill.

The Hydro Track belt drive system was designed for easy access to, cleaning of, and adjustment of the belt.
With no tools necessary the belt with skid plate can be lifted up to a vertical position. With the belt standing up in front of you then you can clean the entire skid plate assembly and the belt. In most cases you don't even need a wrench to adjust the tracking of the belt. A single wrench is needed to cure a sticky bolt in some cases.

Before you lift the treadmill belt make sure the water level is at least below the door threshold, this is where you would stop for an adjustment. If you are doing a thorough cleaning of the machine then drain completely.

Step 1.    Remove locking pins, one on each side, by lifting up on the black knob until the pin comes free.

Step 2.   Now with locking pins removed, slide the hold down pin/block back to release, one per side.

Step 3.   Carefully, and slowly at first, lift the skid plate to a standing position.

Step 4.  Make sure that the skid plate assembly is setting on the base of the tank and not on the edge of the hold down braces in the bottom corners of the tank. Do this by pulling out on the bottom of the assembly until firmly on the floor of the tank.

Replacement is the reverse of lifting.  Make sure, once again, that the bottom of the assembly is firmly on the floor of the tank before you begin lowering the skid plate. And watch your fingers! So they do not get pinched as you lower the plate assembly into position. The system will center its self and the belt will be tensioned, if adjusted properly, once locked in place.
